Urology Service
This unit offers the latest diagnostic techniques, treatments and procedures, highlighting the service for being of the highest quality and high specialization. Innovative solutions such as prostate laser, laparoscopic surgery or minimally invasive surgery for cancer or incontinence are part of the broad portfolio of services.
At Magna Clinic we take care of the preventive controls of any type of pathology of the urological sphere, both feminine and masculine.
We recommend to go to the urologist in the male population in the following cases:
- If any type of problem appears when urinating, in relation to the erection or ejaculation. If the patient presents blood in the urine or in the ejaculation. In case of pain in the perineal area or testicles
- If there is a family history of urological tumors after 40 years
- If there is no previous family history, periodic reviews will begin after 45 years.
The urological health of women also worries us, since the risk of urinary tract infections increases considerably with menopause. This is due to the decrease in vaginal estrogen that causes an alteration of the vaginal flora and consequently the vaginal pH, making colonization by bacteria easier. In many cases the prolapses of the bladder also favor infections.
The services to be highlighted in our center are:
2.- Benign testicular pathologies: study and treatment of varicocele, epididymitis and cystic lesions.
3.- Study of erection problems: study and treatment of ejaculation and sexual hormonal deficits.
4.- Pelvic floor unit: In our unit, in which several departments collaborate, the set of pathologies that affect the pelvic floor are treated, that is, the set of support structures of the pelvic viscera and the closing musculature of the abdominal cavity in its lower portion. They are usually multifactorial problems and must offer a global solution. The therapeutic options at present are not only surgical, we also have pharmacological and physiotherapeutic among others.
5.- Diagnosis and treatment of renal lithiasis
6.- Ureteral pathologies: The presence of stones or kidney stones is initially performed due to clinical symptoms and urinalysis. When we have a calculation it is very important to know in which section of the urinary tract is lodged as well as its size, for this the patient is made as diagnostic tests:
- Plain radiographs of abdomen
- Urological and renal ultrasound
- Urography with intravenous contrast
7.- Pathology of the penis: includes all that pathology from pain to affect the sexual functioning and / or fertility of man.
8.- Pathology of the urethra: The ureters are two thin tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder. They have a muscle in their walls that contracts and relaxes, causing the urine to drop. Every 15 seconds, small amounts of urine flow from the ureters to the bladder. The most important pathology is obstruction or injury.
9.- Bladder pathology
10.- Adrenal pathologies: diagnosis and treatment of both adrenal and retroperitoneal pathologies
11.- Urinary infections
12.- Male infertility
